Hi, after install a new SQL Server 2017 and SambaPOS on Windows 10. Checking the reports, I found out that Cost Report and others just showing Preparing Cost Report, and it took forever to complete.
I wonder if it is related to my SQL Server component which I picked when setup. I only chose to install Database Engine Services.
Have you ever faced this issue before?

Hi,
I followed all the steps in the tutorials and went to install ’ Online Order application ’
.
After installation, it didnt load so i tried to run it manually and following error popped up. when i press ok it loads but the screen is blank.
Please help as I am working to a schedule to get this up and running and its tomorrow.

I have purchased the Go tablet license and installed the app on the ipad. I have done the settings as described in the tutorial.
However, when i run it on the tablet, it prompts me to enter a pin without going to the settings screen. The gotablet pin i created doesnt work. I used the default pin and it then loads the settings screen but the information is not picked up automatically. Below are the screenshots.

I have created a new ticket type for pickups and Uber eats and all of a sudden the settle button has disappeared from the ticket.
If was visible earlier, could it be because I am adding a customer to the ticket?

Hi,
I have configured the Menu on the Go Tablet and the Order Tags feature is working on it.
However, the free tagging option is possible. I can see the ‘Free Tagging’ under the item but when i click on it, it doesnt show any input field to enter anything.

Hi,
I have created a new product and moved an order tag group from existing product to the new product. Then i sent the menu to the go tablet for like the 5th time. Just to make you aware that this works on both server and all androids. And this is the 2nd time I am having issues with Go Tablet Menu as my previous issue with freetags is not working either
but the issue is:

Is there anyway that we can add the tag manually???
I dont know what else can i do as it doesnt work only on GO TABLET and TOFFICE. And this effectively make the tablet not usable

Hi,
I’ve been using Metrik for SambaPOS for 2 Outlets without any issues for a couple of months. But last week, data for one of the outlets stopped showing on the app. To fix this, I tried removing the outlet from Metrik App and adding it back again. But this time an error message pops up.
"Maximum number of users is reached. You cannot add a new user. You can add new user by upgrading your package."
I bought Metrik Basic for both outlets from the community portal and was using both under one user in metrik app without any issues up until now.
The other outlet’s data is still showing up on the app.
I hope I made it clear enough. I want to access data from both outlets under one metrik user, but I unable to add the second outlet even though I have a valid Samba & Metrik license.

This is my first post here so please call me out if I need to do things differently.
I have a 3 Terminal system, with currently 6 Android (SambaPOS Moblie) ordering tablets (Lenovo Tab M7) – that was supplied by StoreSeen (installed at the start of this month, I brought the tablets separately), Mark there suggested that I post here so that I can reply directly if I need to clarify anything.
When an order is sent from one of the tablets with a freetag on an item, but the tag includes a newline, the tag just gets dropped.

SambaPOS Mobile: v2.0.54
I have been capturing the packets that go to the messaging server; here is an example of it happening (I have tried to strip any secrets & there could be encoding differences as this is pulled from wireshark):
Any time that a new line is entered (allowed by the app) it does this, I have lots of captures if required.
When the ticket prints/re view it on the tablet the order has gone through but the freetag is missing.
I have told the waiting staff about this issue but new lines can still get entered by accident when in a rush trying to close the keyboard or you forget.

I just downloaded the SambaPOS 5 on my laptop and itis not loading. I have uninstalled and install several times it is still not working.

Hi There,
Just set up the Star TSP100IIIU with SambaPos today,
the Format for the Tickets when Previewing looks like this
However, when Print out from Star Printer,
it is looked like this:
Not only it cuts at the wrong place,
but also, it has these ! marks on the left handside of the tickets,
beside this, none of the formating such as increased the side of the characters, nor made the words bold.

I have a group of Order Tags (Modifiers)
all set to 0 min and 0 max
but the modifier can only be pressed 0 as the 2nd press removes it.
I have checked every setting
So I created a new Order Tag group… added the same modifiers and Min/Max and this group works… Guess the original group is corrupt somewhere…
Anyone had this issue before?
Its a pain having to recreate so many, I’m suspecting it’s got a wrong value in the MAX data field but its not showing it anywhere… must be deep in the DB…

Ran into the scenario where the user name has an apostrophe. When backing-up this error shows:
The username is something like The Guys's Place. The ’ is unescaped and causes an error on backup (verified manually in SSMS).
No backup is possible.
Escaping the ' with '' a backup is possible
This does NOT work:
BACKUP DATABASE TheGuysPlace TO DISK = 'C:\Users\The Guys's Place\Documents\SambaPOS5\Database Backups' WITH FORMAT, NAME = 'test'
This DOES work:
BACKUP DATABASE TheGuysPlace TO DISK = 'C:\Users\The Guys''s Place\Documents\SambaPOS5\Database Backups' WITH FORMAT, NAME = 'test'
Perhaps String.Replace("'", "''") on the path will fix this for others.

Hello,
Have been using this setup for more than a week now,
it was all fine, until today,
On Gloriafood, the total of payments by card was say 596
and on SambaPOS the payment processed by onlineorder was 553
so there was a 43 difference.
I went to cross-check order by order between SambaPOS and Gloriafood order list,
there was a ticket of 43 not showing on SambaPOS ticket list,
I went on to SambaIN as well, and the ticket was indeed missing from the list too.
I wonder if this is some sort of a bug? Or will there something of a human error?
Though, I cannot possibly figure out why this has happened,
I can only think that SambaIN somehow missed an order? as there is no way to modify the list SambaIN registered, right?

I just wanted to log this in case anyone else comes across it. I just did a fresh install of Windows Server 2019 and SQL Express 2019. After following the install instructions for installing the SQL server here (https://kb.sambapos.com/en/2-1-3-a-sql-express-server-setup/) it was still denying a connection on the client. This was validated by disabling Windows Defender after which the client computer connected fine.
After looking through the firewall settings it appears that even though the firewall ports were allowed for 1433 it still couldn’t establish a connection since SQL Instance will be on a random/dynamic port which the SQL Browser will direct the connection to (https://superuser.com/questions/1303512/unblocking-windows-10-defender-firewall-for-ms-sql-server-2014). After adding both SQL Server and SQL Browser executables (which can be identified in the server’s services directory) the connection was fine. I didn’t have this issue with the installation with previous versions of Windows.

We’ve setup a Cancel Orders action to remove all new orders quickly from a menu. We noticed some odd activity when using auto select on items. The select screen stays up when clicking cancel orders. Is there a way to disable the button when an item is selected?
FYI, tried to upload a gif, but it keeps converting to jpg. Sorry.
