I have created a simple “Samples” entity with a string Custom Field named Field

I can add a new entity with “123-456” as value for the Custom Field by clicking on “Add Entity” on the Entities window

If I try to create an entity using rules, actions or scritps the “123-456” gets transformed into a date value

So, if I click “Add Entity” at Entities and I enter a value for the Custom Field, this value goes directly into the database. While setting this value from actions, rules, and scripts seems to undergo a different process

I have played with the attributes of the Custom Field (Mask Type, Editting Format, Default Value, etc.) but they do not seem to be related to the problem

I have a group of Order Tags (Modifiers)

all set to 0 min and 0 max

but the modifier can only be pressed 0 as the 2nd press removes it.

I have checked every setting

So I created a new Order Tag group… added the same modifiers and Min/Max and this group works… Guess the original group is corrupt somewhere…

Anyone had this issue before?

Its a pain having to recreate so many, I’m suspecting it’s got a wrong value in the MAX data field but its not showing it anywhere… must be deep in the DB…

I have been experiencing some errors when adding or editing Price Definitions under Products. It seems to me that it always fails when using names with 11 or more characters. I have repeated the test with different databases and it always crashes when the name is eleven or more characters long

Hello, I have a script that connects to a remote server to get orders from the online store. I use “web.Download”. It works correctly, but yesterday the remote server failed for two hours and the SambaPos v5 was saturated and could not be used, since it tried to connect to the server every 1 minute and did not get a response.
Can you put some timeout to web.Download? Or how can it be done so that if the remote server does not respond or if there is no Internet connection, it does not hang?
I have seen an example of ping but this method is very slow.

Hi Team,

This has just started happening over the last few days where SambaPOS is crashing just after I end the Work Period for the day. I can restart and print off the reports I need so there doesn’t seem to be any data missing, it’s just annoying.

I don’t think I changed anything apart from adding a new product here and there.

I have enabled the Error logging:

So I’ll see what I get next time.

I’ve set up GloriaFood integration and it works well except that order tag quantity is not passed into SambaPOS. I tried setting “Add OrderTag Group Name” to Show in SambaIN but the issue persists.

Just installed SambaPOS 5 on a windows 10 machine for evaluation.
Keep getting ‘Please restart application. Current problem saved to log file’ message.
Pressing OK is closing SambaPOS5.

Have been looking at sambasettings.txt, ConnectionString is still empty…
I was expecting database connection to be configured from the SambaPos application as well as initial Sample Data.

How to proceed further? Does anyone know location of mentioned log file?.

Update: I found the log file and it seems that SambaPos tries to open/create file in user folder

C:\Users\usernameSambaPOS5.mdf

So it’s missing a \ in the path or is the debug statement not correct?

I have a custom entity screen which is for custom delivery date application,
I have a custom selection date, wich tags the ticket with delivery date
If i check the order by delivery date only work from work period tickets.

Hi all
I have a weird problem with the android client.
The tablet is set up for UK with the UK time and date.
Tickets are printing with the correct date from all the windows epos sambapos clients but when an order is placed on the Android tablet using V2.0.54 the date on the resulting ticket is in US format.

Good morning, support

One of our clients has being experiencing ticket loss even when the Ticket has been settled.

Most recent was:

On 01/Aug/2020

Ticket number 11980 (Missing from all system records)

Scenario:

Was Settled and Invoice issued, about 10mins later power was cut but was not found after power was restored

Showed up under Customer Tickets. But once clicked on from Customer Tickets screen it did not open, just cleared from that screen(Customer Tickets) and the only record on to show was a missing Ticket number.

The restaurant has taken orders for 4 tickets so far today but 2 of these tickets are behaving abnormally. No power outage or unexpected shutdowns.

Ticket 1 - missing.
A GF ticket that was paid online is received by SambaIN but can’t be found in SambaPOS. The amount paid is not added to Reports.Other GF tickets are working normally.

Ticket 2 - payment not added to Reports.
A ticket created and settled by user is visible in Ticket Explorer but the amount paid is not added to Reports, however I can see the cash payment in Accounts. This paid ticket also won’t show up in Ticket Lister when filtering state by “Paid.”

Ticket state is "Paid"

Ticket is visible in Ticket Explorer and marked as paid but the sale amount is not added to Reports.
